UBC researchers Dr. Judith Daniluk and Dr. Anthony Cheung are conducting a brief, on-line survey to learn more about childless women’s fertility intentions, and their knowledge and beliefs about fertility and the available Assisted Human Reproduction (AHR) treatment options
(e.g., in-vitro fertilization - IVF(IVF) In-Vitro Fertilization:
A procedure whereby sperm and eggs are fertilized in a laboratory and three to five days later,
the resulting embryo is transferred to the woman’s uterus
, intra-uterine insemination
- IUI(IUI) Intrauterine Insemination:
A procedure whereby sperm are injected directly into a woman's uterus. , ovulation medication(OIM) Ovulation Induction Medications:
Often referred to as fertility drugs, these medications are used to stimulate the follicles in a woman’s
ovaries to increase the production of eggs and increase the chances of a pregnancy.

The researchers also want to know where women currently get their fertility, family planning and reproductive health information, and how women prefer to access this information.
This study is funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and Assisted Human Reproduction Canada.
The on-line survey is completely confidential and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.

- 20 to 50 years of age
- not yet a mother
- assume you are fertile
- open to the possibility of pursuing a pregnancy in the future
The results of this survey will be used to design and develop educational materials and programs to help women and their partners make informed and satisfying fertility and childbearing decisions.
